Gaynor Ackerley (Treasurer)

Gaynor is pictured far right presenting a cheque in December 2007 to Mrs Margaret Hiles (centre), Chair of The Friends of Whitchurch Hospital. Gaynor claims to be camera-shy but we will endeavour to snap her for her own official photo!

Gaynor does the band proud as Treasurer, keeping a tight ship and our finances under control, and proudly boasts her instrument of choice as the Bb calculator! Wow, what a player!

Her son Phil  is a member of the ground crew for the legendary Red Arrows display team, but has recently been seconded to fly with them on their current tour! Perhaps Gaynor can organise a fly-over at our next outdoor concert!

Apart from enjoying music, her family, and life in general (what a wonderful sentiment), Gaynor enjoys spending time with her four grandchildren, has been married since 1969, and proudly boasts at having just received her bus pass. We don't believe a word of it!

Apart from Barbara, Gaynor is a stalwart of nearly every band rehearsal, keeping us up-to-date with our accounts and assisting Barbara in the tea and yummy biscuit department.

Gaynor currently resides in the quaintly named Cross O'th'hill in Cheshire.
